my top world destination on summer 2014 part3
Pebble Shore Lake in Glacier National Park, Montana, United States.
Glacier is part of a large preserved ecosystem collectively known as the "Crown of the Continent Ecosystem", all of which is primarily untouched wilderness of a pristine quality. Virtually all the plants and animals which existed at the time European explorers first entered the region are present in the park today.
Love this place! So much majesty surrounding oneself it's overwhelming!! Been to many National Parks, this one is special.

Vesturhorn, Iceland.
Vesturhorn in South East Iceland
Vesturhorn is an amazing steep mountain that extends out into the Atlantic Ocean at the south eastern corner of Iceland, close to Höfn. This picture by Tony Prower shows the starkness of the cliffs and the very flat plains in the remaining coastline. Recently some climbing routes have been set up the steeper cliffs. They are the longest multi pitch climbing routes in Iceland.

Sky Wave, Costa Rica.
The ionosphere is a region of the upper atmosphere, from about 60 km to 500 km in altitude, where neutral air is ionized by solar photons and cosmic rays. When high frequency signals enter the ionosphere obliquely, they are back-scattered from the ionized layer as scatter waves.

Saint Lucia, Caribbean.
St. Lucia is the sort of island that travellers to the Caribbean dream about--a small, lush tropical gem that is still relatively unknown. One of the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles, it is located midway down the Eastern Caribbean chain, between Martinique and St. Vincent, and north of Barbados. St. Lucia is only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide, with a shape that is said to resemble either a mango or an avocado (depending on your taste). The Atlantic Ocean kisses its eastern shore, while the beaches of the west coast owe their beauty to the calm Caribbean Sea.

Petra, Jordan.
The giant red mountains and vast mausoleums of a departed race have nothing in common with modern civilization, and ask nothing of it except to be appreciated at their true value - as one of the greatest wonders ever wrought by Nature and Man.
Although much has been written about Petra, nothing really prepares you for this amazing place. It has to be seen to be believed.
Petra, the world wonder, is without a doubt Jordan

Mountain of the Gods --Ruins on Mount Nemrut, Turkey, burial site of kings, date from the first century B.C.
From 250 BC Mt Nemrut lay between two regions, the Seleucid Empire and the Parthian Empire. It was a rich and fertile area, with a history of independent thinking. In 80 BC the Seleucid Empire was in disarray and Roman power spread into the region, with a Roman alley Mithridates I Callinicus declaring himself King of the region. In 64 BC he passed away, leaving the kingdom to Anticohus I Theos of Commagene as King. In 62 BC this King ordered the building of these temples and funerary mound on top of Mount Nemrut.
Mount Nemrut is a 2206 m (7237 ft.) high mountain, located in the Adiyaman Province in Southeastern Anatolia, Turkey, which is only accessible during the summer months, while the rest of the year the mountain is covered by ice and snow.
